Exactly. I think the owners of the animals need to have something happen to them. A few nights in jail isn't enough considering they typically end the animal's life. For something it's owner trained it to do. I don't understand.

Vouch for this. Lol. How do you not like pets? Animals give you unconditional love. Especially dogs. They snuggle with you and love you.

Exactly, but it is not always that they were trained to do this, but that they weren't cared for enough or weren't fed or loved etc..

Thanks for the vouch LOL ;) I love my dog and wouldn't trade him for the world

Neither would I KO. I love my dog. I hate even leaving him when I have to go to work. He's my little (big) guy. He likes to snuggle when I'm studying, and when I'm watching tv. He's definitely my baby.

:) My little man max is also pretty big lol but he is a lil baby at heart! <3 I love laying around on the couch with him when I get the chance! He always wants to cuddle, and have me bat baseballs around the yard for him lol

Personally, I feel that they should be put down (like I voted in the poll) under certain circumstances.
If the animal is in extreme pain, or is just old and can't function any longer, (meaning can't walk, run, etc.) then I feel they should be put down.
Just because you don't want an animal anymore, or can't find someone to adopt that animal within a specific period of time/because you ran out of room (referring to certain shelters)? NO.
No. Just... NO.

Thank you. (: I'm passionate about animals & the rights they deserve. There was a shelter back home (I'm from Florida but don't live there currently) that I trusted. They made me regret trusting them. There was a dog, his name is Max. I adopted him, but then realized that it wouldn't work out because he didn't get along with my other dog or cat. Plus, he was so big, he'd knock my mom down. (He was HUGE)
So, I took him to the shelter, and they said that couldn't take him in because of *insert absurd reasons here* and it broke my heart. So, the next day, I tied him to our fence post (fenced in yard) and left a note for the shelter about an hour away. (I had called them the previous night). His face as we drove away broke my heart into pieces. )':
