Do you guys often read into game reviews on sites such as IGN before you decide to purchase a game, or do you prefer to go ahead and play the game itself before making a judgment?
I never read any reviews and I never base my purchases on what people say. Although, I may buy a game that a friend recommends, I wouldn't trust any big company such as IGN. I think that it's down to personal opinion. Even if a game doesn't receive positive reception, doesn't mean that it isn't good for certain people. :)

Never read the reviews. I just look at the game play and rent the game before i buy it
I only rely on reviews from Gamespot, and on top of that I only look into reviews of big franchises. New or interesting smaller franchises I typically rent before judging them.

I watch reviews on youtube and see what people think.
Usually one of my friends has it and I can try it out there ;)
