I think some people are too tied up in what a marriage is... I mean, ketchup and mustard, peanut butter and jelly, bacon and eggs... These are all classic marriages too (especially the bacon and eggs... the eggs are unfaithful sometimes with the sausage).

However, I can think of plenty of times when I like a nice combination of black pepper and red pepper.  Who cares if the traditional marriage is salt and pepper.  Circumstance changes things.  As long as people aren't taking advantage of the system (aka "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry"), let everyone marry who they want!

Marriage is marriage, Love is described as the affection, cooperation, and friendship and two people, i dont like however how the bible says thats its evil to marry same-sex and you will go to hell, but it also says that "Thou shall not  kill", but the church did it for thousands of years to those who opposed or questioned them. If two men or women find love, then it was meant to be and we should leave their decisions to them not religion. Love is Love and there's no changing that no matter what

Its just common sense that being gay means your sick and possessed. You can be born gay. When a baby is born, they are not gay babies don't know anything.

being gay isn't a sin, it's being in homosexual activity that is a sin. being gay is called "carrying a cross" something thats wrong with you you just can't help, like how I swear a lot. but that doesn't mean that you should have antipathy towards those who are gay as toward harlots, there's an old saying "Hate the sin not the sinner"

A gay marriage wouldn't be a catholic marriage, but the government shouldn't, and can't prevent it.

I don't believe that's it's right, but I think that they deserve the right to get married.  In my opinion, it's pretty weird, but so are a lot of legal things.

Ive seen a lot of peoples opinions on same sex marriages. but can someon describe to me what a marriage is, and what its intended purpose is? then i will voice my opinion, but until we have those facts down, there is no reason for this discussion.

I don't understand why anybody would care or should get involved. It is your personal life and everyone should just butt out. Do want you want to do.

legal marriage: the joining of two people (that conform to unconstitutional restrictions)

catholic marriage: the joining of a man and a women who love each other very much, and decide to live together, and create a family, purely for love itself

gay marriage is somewhere between, but closer to catholic

okay then, going by what you said, why marriage? why not just live together for the rest of your lives? in the situations you stated, there is no logical reason for marriage other than just "to be together" when you can be together without a marriage correct?
