Honestly i wouldn't drop another dime on a PC that needs DDR ram.
but on to your question, you couldn't find ram anywhere cheaper then http://www.newegg.com/ (for the most part)free shipping and no Tax, unless you live in California.

id personally suggest this ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product
1GB as its is cheaper then buying two 512mb stick's.

but if not then look around here.http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis...ageSize=20

Now for the SSD, SSD are about as far from cheap no matter who you buy them from. 120gb can range from 200-300+ dollars easily, as of the moment the best SSD manufacture is OCZ and there cheapest 120gb model is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820227543

P.S this was written under the assumption that you live in the U.S.A as Newegg.com only ships to U.S citizen's.

(Edit) checked real quick and they also have a Canadian distributor http://www.newegg.ca/

The reason why I'm spending money on this laptop is because I got it free and put in a 55gb toshiba harddrive and 2x256 DDR RAM.
I got it free, I'm gonna make it a decent machine.
But thanks for finding the information, I needed it.
By the way, what kind of PC rig do you have?
