What are your views on this? Are the depositers to be blamed? Or the wallets?

Keep your crypto safe.

Yeah, you need to be careful who you make your transactions with and what sites you trust otherwise you never know they might steal your crypto!

Always use trusted places to keep your BTC, Hard wallets are always better than online!

I use Coinbase. I have about $7 worth bitcoins in my coinbase account. I have never used a hardware wallet and I have always used an online wallet. I once tied mobile wallet. I have $5 worth bitcoins on that wallet, however, I lost access to the wallet when I updated the app. I could not recover my funds because I lost the recovery phrase.
