I hear that a lot of peple build followers on facebook, twitter and Instagram by buying followers. I would like to ask this question to the people who have done this. Is it worth buying social media followers? How does this actually work? Do thes epaid followers actually interact and engage with your posts, or do you have to buy engagements?
If you want to buy social media followers, where do you go?

I've never bought followers myself but I have seen the controversy regarding the whole aspect of creating a fake online presence with artificial followers.

I used to run a panel focussed on IG likes/followers, they do not engage in any posts at all. Its just to get the flow going. I mean you're way more likely to follow an account with 1000 followers than 10 followers.
Its just to create some authority and start growing organically from there.

The only amount of followers I would buy is a very small 'couple of hundred' followers to do as Herrax above me said, to show a little bit of authority. People who go around buying thousands and thousands are just killing their accounts in my eyes. If you had 10,000 people following you (after buying them) but only 2-10 likes on your posts because these people do not engage. That just looks odd and for me, just a bit rubbish. Don't get me wrong, I've done it in the past several times but I really didn't see any actual results from it unless you're just interested in going "Look at me, I have 10k+ followers". It's not for me anyway!

Honestly, you have to buy them - if you want to accomplish anything real on the net (with your net business etc..) I mean, even if you have awesome material - people simply won't share your stuff - at the level you need. Well, I guess sometimes they do, but probably the odds are they won't!
Anyhow, buying social media followers - from nations where you can profit - isn't cheap. In order to build a real presence, as just discussed, using Facebook as an example, you need $20,000 (for 100,000 leads) - considering each like (from richer nations) is around 19 cents - for what I assume is most niches. Well, I could be wrong about 19 cents, but that's what it costs for drum lesson leads.
Now, of course, you can get traffic - without putting them into social media (or some other list), but it's probably going to be wasted money.
Good point. Only buy them from the company. For instance, only buy targeted Facebook likes - from Facebook.

I think we've had this talk on another place Jason but do you really think you'll need to spend that much money just to get the leads you want? With the right copy and ad targeting, you could probably spend a couple hundred and get a very decent ROI (in relative terms). Especially just buying likes for your Facebook page or something, I've never seen that deliver 1000 likes AND 1000 extra people who are all engaging with your site, engaging with your social media posts and so on. I think a couple hundred are OK sure, it might make a few more 'real' people think this dudes legit but in terms of actual engagement as opposed to vanity, I just can't recommend such things. Forgive me if I've missed the point of what you're saying though.

Most people joining will not engage. In fact, only a small percentage will! However, it takes a large amount of people - to get the small percentage, get it?
In the end, it's all a numbers game - and also - as you said, ad copy is VERY important. In fact, it would be wise to test several ad copies, but I never do that really.
O.K., some really skilled people - can get profit etc.. from a lower number of people, overall. That's certainly a talent (One example is this jazz drumming teacher who probably makes good money - even from just 20,000 social media followers - as opposed to the golden 100,000.)
