Social Engineering

I think it should be added in the help docs whether Social Engineering is aloud here, I feel it is kind of fraud but I'd like to know how the admin see it ? Thanks =)

It should be completely allowed, if we say a specific yes or no then we would have to make a whole lot of other rules regarding many other methods or really anything. It shouldn't be to specific.

That is true, I just wasn't sure where Social Engineering fell under and a couple others were having the same issue so I thought I should bring it up and find out !

I don't think it should be allowed, it has nothing to do with the purpose of this forum and I've seen many other forums fail just because the Social Engineering section was flooded but nobody bothered with the other sections.

If you do allow it, might aswell change the purpose of the forum.

I am neither for, or against it I believe it does have both pro's and con's I'd just like to know for future reference !

I'm on the fence about this topic.
"Social Engineering" is often just fraud with a fancy name in my opinion.
Now, of course theres useful things that come from it, but like Intellectual said it usually just gets a forum flooded with Social Engineering and not much else.
I'm not making up my mind just yet, only giving my opinion.

The only pros, should be read in my thread about Human Manipulation AKA Social Engineering. But using fraud to get free stuff from companies is a no no. The only pro is Psychology. That's as far as you'll get with allowing social engineering here.

Social Engineering is an innocent topic and I think it should be implemented. It is simply the art of bullshitting people, and I think that it should be a subforum in Human Psychology.
