I say no for so many reasons. I've been hit by mine, it caused the worst part of my depression. It made feel worthless, useless, and completely empty. So I'm saying no, its fucking wrong. They have no right. Its disgusting.

How do you guys feel about it?

I say no, just because not everyone is the same and has the same limitations on themselves. People sometimes go overboard with things such as this, and kids have been beaten to death by their parents before, where as others have been smacked on the hand once or twice. I was smacked on the hand once or twice when I was younger, and that's about it. Everyone was so scared of my father all he had to do was yell and everyone would listen. ;3

I've been shoved against a wall, hit, shoved off chairs, and pretty much screamed at. Which was not fun. They don't do it much but that's cause I'm.older and would.now.fight back. But they still yell a ton.

Yes and No, Ive been hit when I was a child, when I say hit I mean like a hard slap to the face or bum because of diciplinary reasons which is absolutely fine to me. Hitting a child for no reason or for the hell of it isnt OK.

If they limit is as a small reminder, or a way to teach you not to use violence, it can be useful.
However, for the most part, after a certain age, it doesn't provide any sense of learning.

Hitting is just as equivalent to verbal abuse. Both I frown upon. I've been verbally abused from time to time but never hit. Part of it could be due to my intelligence and me disproving their actions with research.

But, that's me. I still say no.

If it is to teach a lesson then yes, I think so that is the way I learned from right from wrong.
