I'm still working as a technical consultant in a non-profit organization so you can say I am not earning well. But I enjoy my job and since we are financially okay so the salary is not an issue. However, my concern is what would I do when I finally retire? It would be boring to just stay at home every day of the week. If we go out and go on vacations, that would entail much expenses. I don't see myself in front of the computer earning my keep because it is not a life for me.
So what can I do not to be bored when I retire from work?

Retiring doesn't necessarily mean that you can't work anymore but this might depend on your country's policy. You could offer volunteer services in whatever your interest are or take up a hobby that you couldn't before. You may choose to become an online advisor/consultant in your field of expertise. Better yet, you can write a book or a biography.
Now these were expensive ideas, and I am expecting some donation or reputation points :D
