Those were the good old days when we gave so much importance to paper and pen. There was a special charm in waiting for a letter and the thrill and those butterflies in the stomach while opening a letter to the secrets it would unveil.
Had you ever received/written a love letter from/to that secret or not so secret admirer? How was that experience?

For real or for fiction?
For fiction and writing exercise I wrote a lot, but in reality I really never thought of doing it.

In 1986, I was assigned work in London. The only communication available for me and my girlfriend was either a phone call which was very expensive or the postal mail. We agreed on the latter because of the cost consideration. We were writing letters at least 2 times a week. All our letters were numbered so we do not get confused since it takes at least 2 weeks before I get a reply from my letter. It was too difficult because there was no computer and we were using the yellow pad and ball pen for writing.

Aww how sweet that sounds now! Those moments can only be relived in memories. I still believe technology spoilt the sweetness of life!

I have never written a love letter due to fear of rejection and I have never received one maybe for the same reason or just have never had an admirer.

I had, couple of times from my ex girlfriend. Feeling was great, Facebook, instagram or any other messages can't compare to that. :) We were born in the wrong time. :D
