Not very new technology but still better than the standard one that needs going to the fan switch to switch it on, I found remote operated fans much more convenient and I use them. What about you?

Anything that is operated by remote will obviously give you a clear advantage to be able to manipulate the fan from a long distances, and considering that all of the fans that have remote controls will also have regular switches, and that there's not a really big difference in price between the two then the choice is obvious.

I unfortunately still use the standard normal fans which mean I must always get up to turn them off or on. To be honest it is not a hassle for me since I keep them on almost all day long since it's always hot here. It will be nice to have remote control fans for those tiring days, when I don't feel like doing anything at all.
