Anxiety seems to be more common than people think. The older I get, the more I see how common it actually is. In fact, most of my family suffers from an anxiety disorder.
I was recently diagnosed with Anxiety and PTSD from events in my past. Before I actually went to the doctor for it, it was really hard for me to control my anxiety. I would have around two or three anxiety attacks DAILY. The smallest thing could trigger it and I'd be sitting there shaking so bad I couldn't even move until I calmed myself down and talked myself through the attack. I also realize that I actually started having symptoms in 6th grade. I remember always feeling nervous, shaking when something bad happened, my heart fluttering, and me feeling nauseous, but I didn't really think too much about it because I thought it was normal. I really wouldn't have even gone to the doctor for it this year if it didn't get as bad as it did. My mom always told me if I was diagnosed with anxiety and iI had to be put on medicine for it, I wouldn't be able to be a nurse and everyone would think I'm crazy. That was just her way of brainwashing me, though. She's annoying, but anyways. Do you suffer from anxiety? How do you deal with it?

I do suffer from anxiety, although it's mild. Whenever I feel fear and my anxiety creeping in, I take deep breaths and I relax my mind by closing my eyes and trying to think other things. It works for me.
