This question has been haunting my mind for quite a while a now.  After all why there is so much of difference between rich and poor?  The world’s wealth is concentrated only in the hands of a small portion of the population.  On the one hand there are people who got no clue how to spend his enormous wealth and on the other hand some people find it really hard to have food at least twice a day.  While some people enjoy life in luxurious huge bungalows, others sleep in footpath in chilling cold even without a blanket.

After all it is said that we all are children of God, then why there are  two categories – the rich and the poor.  The fact is that all socio-economic conditions are favorable for the rich to become richer and poor becomes poorer.  It is indeed a vicious circle of poverty I believe.

I agree, the way the world was designed was to make sure the rich stay rich & the poor stay poor.

Nothing you can do apart from stack money and try and escape the poverty.

In this perspective, World Bank assessment is mostly based on Gini index which calculates the distribution of income and wealth among people either within a community or between several communities or countries. To simplify the understanding of this concept, the Gini coefficient changes from 0 to 1, zero Gini means the best equality in wealth and income while Gini one means the worst.

Personally, I think there are many brilliant experiences among developed countries that could potentially help developing counties to manage their sustainable development in terms of  wealth and income equality such as Sweden (Gini index = 27.3).

What do you think on this? Is solution to use their knowledge to reduce Gini index while keeping sustainable development?

There are those who are rich because of their hard work. If one used to wake up earlier to study at school then they are likely to lead a good life. For those who were lazy and never wanted to work hard they may find themselves sleeping on the streets. God doesn't want lazy people. In wants all of us to be hardworking. I am really sorry for those who are poor because they have been displaced by war.

The rich are rich because the poor made them rich. They were intelligent enough to find a way to make money off of the rest of us and make it so that we are forced to use what little money we have to keep them rich.

There are many countries suffering from economic corruption. In this case,  a large number of people may receive too much benefits and money. They keep majority of resources for their political parties or friends and families. They do not pay their real tax. Some times in economic corruption and collapse, those people who have access to direct resources make relations with decision makers to support them in their unfair economic activities. :@

Assuming that you are living in one of these countries, how do you feel when you understand many non-eligible candidates get your ideal professions? What is the solution in your point of view?

We could answer this with a lot of logical reasonings:

1. Some are rich because they work hard for it. Some are poor because they are not doing anything to make a difference in their lives.
2. Some are rich because of corruption and some tend to become poor because of corruption as well.
3. Some are rich because they came from a well off family. Some people no matter how hardworking they are they still remain poor for the fact that they may have not finish education.
4. Lastly, there are rich and poor because that is how nature and God balance life here on Earth. Imagine the world full of only rich people. Who would go farming, doing the construction, and any other jobs that only below average people would do in reality for a living.

There has always been rich and poor people. It has been that way for some time. People are be rich for may reasons as the person above listed. There is also the middle class where a lot of people find themselves. They are neither rich nor poor but they get buy. They work everyday to pay their bills and afford the necessities in life. I am one of those people. I may not have a whole lot of money but I get by. I have more then a lot of other people do. I have a roof over my head and food on my table.

Because there are regions more likely for you to have a good or a bad life. If you live in the city, for example, it is a good indicator that you have a good life but doesn't always means that.

I think rich and poor exists because not everyone of us deserve the same. There are people who deserve more than others, and that's is fine by me.
