In the Philippines, the extrajudicial killings are the main issue as noted from the incumbency of the late President Ferdinand Marcos until the present stint of the new elected President Rody Duterte who is considered as the tough President for his order to press all forms of criminality like illegal drug trade, graft and corruptions, and the like.
The government is resorting to this harsh and inhumane way of stopping those crimes, believing that crimes may be stopped. However, the family of the victims is crying "foul". The human rights lawyers who handled those cases claimed that it is the violation of the rights of those victims to be heard and be given due process. Those victims are still presumed to be innocent.
Resorting to extra-judicial killing of the criminals, the suspects is the best means of curbing criminalities? What is your stance? And why?
