China's Fake Disney

Okay, so the story behind this is a Chinese corporation tried to build a park almost exactly identical to that of Disney's Magic Kingdom. But, because China cut every corner known to man, the project soon went bankrupt. Some people actually live inside of the castle and grow crops out in the overgrown fields. Very interesting.

Heard of this and wonder how long these people will get to stay here unless someone just bought off the project and the land.

I rememeber something about the government owning the land. China is very wasteful, so probably never.

They always do projects and stop it midway as legal issues back in foreign countries to them such as US, UK etc... The investors start getting into legal troubles as the loopholes start to close on them. Haven't seen the Paris project.

The juxtaposition to abandonment & decay from childish excitement & enthusiasm is something I find particularly eerie in disused funfairs. Another similar example to this is the fairground constructed in Pripyat for labour-day celebrations scheduled to open just four days the Chernobyl disaster - absolutely frightening indeed.
