Empires Debate!

Hey guys, as my first post/thread I want us to debate about who was the greatest empire the world has ever seen. I personally believe either The Romans or The Greeks had the mightiest/greatest. Please post your personal opinions below!

Umm. I would have to say The Romans, but that's just my opinion haha.

Depends on what aspect? Culture, military, diplomatic, resources etc?

There really isn't a debate, there's only the Roman Empire.
However, I also liked the Han Dynasty.

That's true, but I am meaning of all stats. Combine all those into one overall view point then judge.

Culture wise, I'd say Greek and Romans were on par but military went to the Romans due to not by numbers as they didn't have much in the end but they had great strategies and could destroy a force 5x bigger there their own.

If we were talking about modern empires (last 100 years) I'd have to roll with the German Empire in the mid 30's, early 40's. During those times, the German Empire got away with so much, and was extremely powerful. They pretty much fucked over all of Europe, and it took all of the Allies to stop them. Note you that's France, the Soviet Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Took that whole group of countries to take out Germany. lol.

Can't argue at all. The SS was and is ranked the best fighting force this world has seen to date. I did WW2 reenactment a few years back as an SS. It helps that I'm from German decent to. Lol

For example, Greeks did a great job with art, philosophy, literature, etc. Greeks are more focused on artwork, while Romans were more focused on war and military services. Rome had one of the best governments in history. Anyways, in my opinion, Rome was the mightiest as in Medieval times, power was most influential.

Both had great Culture and I believe to be on par with one another. The Persian empire had a great Cultural affect as well along with a military as they wiped the Greeks out. Their Government as well was very great for about 40-50 years.
