This is the first of its kind where virtual creatures are introduced in the real world.  Once you start the game you can go to prominent local landmarks (Pokestops) to gather supplies such as Pokeballs.  But the worst part is that injuries playing this addictive game are on the rise. People started posting their pictures of chasing creatures in dangerous situations in social media sites.  Ankle injuries, walking into posts / trees etc are very common while playing this game. But we can’t blame the company for this as it is sheer carelessness.

This is only part of the problem huh? I read the news that there are robbers who make use of Pokemon Go to lure people into a trap and rob them of their money. It is a very innovative way of robbery, but at the end of the day, I think it is the personal responsibility of the players to prevent such things from happening in the first place. The same can be said for ankle injury and such.

Every game or technology will have its pros and cons and it is up to the users to determine it and weigh the worth of using it. I think eventually people will get around Pokemon Go and such occurance will decrease over time.

There was also something on the news about a person finding a dead body while searching for a pokemon, obviously this is just bad luck but still. I think whatever algorithm that they are using for placing gyms and stuff like that needs to consider the zone and how safe it is, because If I'm correct a the moment its random and you can end up in dangerous places, which is ok if you're an adult but not if you're a kid.

This game is a double-edged sword really. On the one side it's quite a fun game since you get to walk and search in real life instead of sitting on a couch and playing a game with your phone. On the other side, as perfectly mentioned by tong, you may get in trouble such as robbery attempts and such bad stuff.
