I'm new here and decided to introduce myself.  I'm a tech hobbyist and very interested in tech security. I'm only a beginner so if you have anything to help me on this journey please tell me.

What are you interested in security wise? For example network pentesting, webapp pentesting, forensics, malware analysis/RE, and or exploit development? If you are new to it and just looking to get your feet wet learn a bit about networking and OS's then follow that up with some coding in the most common languages which are relevant to the specific area you are interested in.
