I am a web developer and working in this field for a long time and have good experience with both of them. Most of the people try to search for free hosting sites and host their site on their servers. Now the problem is whenever the hosting provider stops their service, they will don't even notify you about it. All your effort is useless and anytime your site can go offline forever. Even the problems are not limited to this, most free hosting sites have small servers and can't afford huge traffic towards your site. Resulting in much more downtime to your site and low rankings in the search engine.

On the other hand, paid hosting providers offer a lot of benefits to their users. Many of the paid hosting sites are working from a lot of years and have great trust score among users. They are not going to fraud you by closing their service without notice. Even more, they will handle any amount of traffic you receive on your site. However, you have to pay for what you are seeking for? This small investment ion the beginning can avoid huge problems in the future.

There are some free hosting services that aren't to shabby. They are great for people who are first time site owners without having to invest any money up front. I know some communities that run on a free hosting service that are pretty active, have a pretty big member base, and I've never experienced any downtime with them.

IMO the fact that a host offers free web hosting doesn't really have anything to do with their prior warnings before shutting down. I fear you may have just of had a bad experience with free hosting.

I've used free hosting many years ago and experienced really slow server load times and since then I've never used free hosting again.

Paid hosting is always the better option to go with even if it is shared hosting, this is from my personal experience anyway.

Nothing is free in this world anyway. So, if you have the budget, always go for the paid option. If you do not have the budget, then there is also no point thinking too much about it since you do not have a choice.

The primary concern is free facilitating will have something on there that will hinder your capacity to give a 100% cleaned proficient site, there will be an advert on their or bandwith limitation message when you hit a breaking point. They are decent to play around with and learn however not to manufacture an expert site.

I agree totally, paid hosting is just faster and more reliable than free hosting, and doesn't put in place so many restrictions.

Spot On.

It's not even expensive as well, I offer shared hosting for as low as $1.50 with my hosting company.
