What do you think the future holds?

Let's pick a year, say, 2500 - about 500 years from now. What do you think the Earth will look like then? Do you think by that time we'll have finally found out the secret to time travel? Will we have met aliens on some distant planet? I'd like to think that by that time of the Earth's life, we will have found a way to inhabit other planets and actually make a life on those planets. Mars obviously seems like one of the more capable candidates for this but I think we could manage another planet. Maybe Venus or even Juipiter by then.
