Are those terrabyte sized USB sticks were as good as external hard drives?

I wanted to have an storage hardware were I can hoard files because I wanted to keep my hard disk as empty as possible. I felt like my computer runs faster if there are less files on my hard disk. I usually save files on external hard drives. The Bulky ones are usually cheaper than the sleaker ones. I have a 500 GB external hard drive that is so big you can use it as a murder weapon. :xD:

Recently I had seen some USB sticks with the capacity of 1 terrabyte. They look like this:

I love the fact that these 1 terrabyte sized USB sticks are cordless because I hate cords. Anyone here who had tried them?

If I was you I'd grab something like this. Pretty sleek and it's not expensive.

I don't really mind what you get but keep in mind that the r/w speeds and ms are good!
That's all you should take care about.

I'd personally get a Samsung T3 SSD for that price. They're reliable, great R/W speeds and portable.
