Prayer is associated with religion and meditation is related to spirituality.Believers also use meditation as a tool to reach God, however, meditation is mainly about discovering awareness, which is more of spiritual activity.

I pray daily but I don't meditate. I have a very active mind. Even if I try, I can't meditate. My thoughts will wander away. But I do pray daily. Since childhood, we have been taught to pray daily without fail. Prayer gives you strength to walk through the difficult times in your life. It is very important.

I do pray and meditate every day. For me prayer is a self submission that happens every moment. Meditation happens in the silence of night for about half an hour. It rejuvenates my soul.

I've been to troubled times, so I need to pray and meditate. Both can be good methods: the aim of meditation is to still the constantly thinking mind to reach inner peace, but it usually don't include focusing on religious images, whereas prayer is a form of communication with God (or Spiritual Entities) that I find similar to communication between humans.

I pray but don't meditate. I pray mostly to just give thanks to my lord for good or bad things in my life. I pray to ask the lord for forgiveness and help if I so deserve.

Everybody has an active mind, believe me. It's not easy to meditate, at least not at a beginning, but just be persistent and eventually you will be able to calm your mind. Try to focus on some small thoughts, like the sound of birds, water drops or something like that.

I pray daily and rarely meditate. To me prayers doesn't necessarily mean visiting a place that is considered a God's abode like a temple, church or Masjid. I simply fold my hands and dedicate few soul connecting moments to the Supreme being.

I am more into praying than meditating. I pray everyday especially at night before going to bed. I believe in talking directly to God through my prayers. I can pray at any locatipn I find myself, it could be at work place, while in the car or any other place. Most of those prayers I make outside my home or church are usually short.

As a Roman Catholic who grew up and studied in a private school governed by the Dominican Sisters or Nuns praying the rosary everyday and saying a little prayer before our school starts had been a part of my life already. That is why I do pray instead of meditating. I had carried this habit of praying everyday until up to now that I should need to be more close to God at this point in my life. I always believe in the powers of prayer because it always lifts me up when I am down and always give me hope when I am depressed. Communicating to God by means of praying is my best defense against my determination to continue and move on with my life amidst the struggles and trials that comes my way.

I do both for a short while. My prayer is a 30 seconds long standing in front of Lord asking Him to keep me away from sin and my meditation is few simple posture in a park during my morning walks.
