I am a music lover and want to spend my life listening music.  At work also I have a centralized music system which is really relaxing.  I think it will increase your productivity.   But I get bored if I listen to music for a long time at a stretch. I can also make me sleepy.  But it all depends on what type of music you are listening to.  A soothing music could be good at bedtime, but would not do good if you are focusing on something like studying.

Are you a music lover and how much time you devote for music daily?  Would you listen to music at work?

Yes, I listen to music at work if I have nothing to do or I am bored.

I try but it's not always possible as my supervisor sometimes tends to go around to see if all of us are working or just wasting time... however, when he's not around I do listen music as it's the best way to keep you awake and interested on the task you are doing, especially if it's a repetitive one or if it's something that its very tedious after doing it for a long time.

Music is a must in my life, can't imagine life without it. If I am not listening then I am singing to myself. Yes, I listen to music at work when I get free time!

I would if we were aloud to it would be much more fun. I think it would also help the time past by faster.

Good music never fails to soothe and calm my nerves whenever I feel stressed. Most of the time I am at home working on my computer. I enjoy instrumental music while working because lyrics can divert my mind from working. On the contrary, soothing music without lyrics instantly lifts up my mood and hence results in more productivity.

I tend to get carried out and start singing along so I forget what I'm actually meant to be doing.

Most definitely, it's what made time past faster, when I was employed I looked forward to going to work because we had music to play and I'm a big music lover.

I am the opposite of music lover but I wouldn't mind music at work if majority in the workplace are enjoying it. However, the exception is funky music or the modern rock which gives me a headache. But if given a choice, I would rather have peace and quiet while working. That's why I was glad when the walkman was invented and now it is the iPod. I just hope that technology would give the music lovers what they want and give me silence.
