I always had this mental debate that out of these basic needs which is crucial. I still think it's tough to be without either but I feel water is must to have between this two. What's your choice?

I'd rather create electricity through my water supply. Simply connect the tap with a dynamo and you've got yourself some electricity. Alternatively you could use mini-solar panels to charge your phones and other batteries.
I think it would be really stressfull for me not to have running water in the house. People have been able to live in the past off the power grid, but having to go out and buy water is too much of a pain for me.

I assume that we are talking about something short term right? If that's the case, then I'd rather have electricity as I have a small water tank that can last for at least two days or more if I'm careful without wasting it, and as others have said you can always go to a store and buy some bottled water. Without electricity I can't do my work, study or do anything productive.

For me it's water all the way I can't imagine living a day without water that will be like hell. Over 70% of our daily activities require water, we need water for food, clean up our surroundings, for bathe and numerous other activities. I can opt for a generator to produce electricity for my use but there is no alternative to water.

My choice will always be water. You have to have water in order to survive.
The stuff that runs on electricity, man has survived for hundreds of years before that was a regular in every household. You can survive without electricity if you have a creative mind.

I need water to shower, use the toilet and wash my hands. I've had three days without water and a few days without electricity. It feels horrible not having water but you can survive without electricity if you know how to prepare frozen foods.
