The age at which you can legally drive varies from country to country, but in many places it is lower than 18. In some American states it is 15 or younger. Usually you are allowed to take a driving test a year or more before you can vote or drink alcohol. As young drivers are the ones most likely to have accidents, from time to time there are calls to raise the driving age. In the past two years lawmakers in the US states of Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois and Massachusetts have debated raising their driving age, although these attempts are unlikely to change anything in the foreseeable future. The British government has also recently considered lifting the driving age in the UK from 17 to 184, although it seems unlikely to go ahead with this change.
This topic assumes that the age should be raised to 18, but the arguments will still work for any number higher than the present legal driving age in your state. Many European countries already have a driving age of 18, so they might debate raising it to 21. Most of the arguments will also work for a debate on limiting how young people can drive.
I myself believe the legal driving age should be 21-23 years old.

Personally, I believe the legal driving should stay as it is. (I'm from NYC, so it's 18 years of age here.)
At this point, you're a good 3 years from being able to legally purchase alcohol, and with 3 years of driving under ones belt the likelihood of an accident upon turning 21 and being exposed to alcohol, I'd like to believe is less than that of a 21 year old just obtaining their license and being able to legally purchase alcohol at the same time.

I personally think that it should be 18.
If someone can fight for their country, they should be able to drink.
Edit: Silly me, not being able to read.
I think the legal driving license age should be 16.

Legal driving age should be 15. At 15, you are already mature enough to understand and be taught the dangers of speeding, drinking while driving, etc.
As long as your parents teach you well, a 15 year old can be responsible enough to drive.

I think allowing 15 year olds to drive is stupid, I know some pretty stupid 15 year olds and I wouldn't trust them to drive a car. I think being able to drive at 17/18 is fine though.

And you're telling me that 2-3 years later, those 15 year olds aren't going to be as stupid? If you want to REALLY make the laws going by that assumption, that all teenagers aren't mature enough, then the legal driving age might as well be 21. That way, we can be 100% sure that nobody "immature" is behind the wheel.

I'm 15 and I am asked to watch over the house alone all the time. I'm not scared of anything. And please, do give me the source from which your brilliant 90% statistic came from. Which professional Sociologist declared that 90% of 15 year olds are scared to stay home alone, I would absolutely love to know.
