Empires Debate!

There really isn't a debate, there's only the Roman Empire.
However, I also liked the Han Dynasty.

Many of china's dynasties intrigue me. Qin Shi' Huangdi (dammit, spelling -__-) is easily my favorite madman in history; who wouldn't want to be buried in a vat of gold and mercury?

For a long time, many considered the Ottoman Empire to be the mightiest. They conquered anyone and everyone that stood in their way until the 1700s when they were out-modernized by Europe. Also, they were not repressive to outsiders in which countries they annexed. Ohh, the Ottomans also had a small army consisting of a few thousand European orphans who were taught to be fierce warriors. These fighters would literally tear peoples' jugulars and were very uncivilized. They are considered the fiercest warriors ever.
