I don't exactly agree with communism. I like where I live and I'd rather have debates about what the president is doing rather than debates about allowing everyone to access the internet.

Again, a misconception. China blocks part of their internet since they have a 'government'. A centralized power, which is not something you'd see in a truly communist community. Anyone could petition laws, everyone could vote. Think of communism like this; everyone is part of the government, nobody is above another.

True, people tend to divide into groups by nature. This is why larger communities wouldn't work, people would split up. But that isn't always such a bad thing. States with their own laws within a communist community isn't an impossibility.

My theory is that that's because a small communist nation would be taken over by its neighbors. Small nations couldn't survive in the past, and since communist communities can't be large for them to stay communist, they'd quickly be invaded.

It looks better on paper than it does in real life.

I don't think there has ever been an example of a truly communist nation in recorded history, so you can't exactly say that.

You say that government isn't needed for communism to work, but communism IS a form of government. Who would uphold the laws, the military, the taxes? And socialism is not the same as communism, In socialism, those who have a drive to succeed still accomplish that. But in a truly communist society, resources are applied by need. Have you ever read a book called "atlas shrugged"? In that novel, one of the main themes is that those who need are not trying hard enough. I dont neccesarily agree with that, but the point is clear.

and for this very reason is why i don't like communism. why should a individual who has devoted his life to practice medicine (a doctor) be payed the same as someone who say works at a gas station?

My explanation is, why would you like to live somewhere where you have no rights, no say in anything, and if you are no one you are treated like shit!
