Phone batteries usually last longer for me (usually the entire day). I think this is probably because I do not use it that often. If I did use as often as I used my laptop, I am sure that I would need to charge it every couple of hours because I mostly play games on my laptop. Therefore, it makes sense that games on a phone would just completely destroy the juice left in the battery.

Yes, poor battery backup has been a concern since the advent of smartphones in mobile technology. I own a Samsung Galaxy and I am not at all satisfied with the performance of my battery. It needs regular charging to keep it alive. I also keep a basic mobile phone of Samsung as a standby option and whenever the smartphone is out of energy I will use my basic phone. It is has an amazing battery backup of 4-5 days.
But I wonder why mobile manufacturing companies are not so concerned about this issue. They have advanced a lot in designing various user-friendly features and phone models, but still low battery backup has remained as a major issue.

I have 2 smart phones - Cherry Mobile and Samsung SIII. Both phones have batteries that easily go low. For texting and calls, I still use my old Nokia since the charge lasts for several days while the smart phone’s charge lasts only for a day at the most. My wife said that the remedy is the portable charger which is also called power bank. When the phone’s battery goes down, connect it to the portable charger and life goes on.

No and no. I know that my phone's hell of powerful but its battery is just, very underwhelming. When I'm continuously using it, my maximum is just 4-5 hours, and there are already rests in between them. Luckily, I've got a powerbank with me to compensate it.

Hell no. I have to carry around a portable battery. My iPhone battery can jump from 40% to 1% quite quickly.

Well. If you ask me, I would say no. My battery rating is 3000 mAH. And I am a frequent use. I get so many calls a day. I play games. I keep my data connectivity always on, except when I am at home.

I'm really not satisfied with it. The juice is only up to 5 hours and you already need to charge. The downside of having a powerful smartphone.

I am not happy with my phone's battery. Even during the first time I purchased a smartphone, I regretted purchasing one because its battery runs out fast. Friends are telling me to switch to an iPhone because its battery lasts longer than other phones. However, I cannot afford, so I'll just stick with my phone's battery for now.

Not really, my phone barely makes 7 hours with minimal usage.

Yeah I have the iPhone 5 and the battery life is good. I keep my charger close so I can re-charge when I need to!
